•  WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM THIS TREATMENT?

Anyone who wants to make a change and learn tools to transform their life.

•  WHAT IS COGNITIVE BEHAVIOURAL THERAPY?

It's a brief goal-orientated therapy where the therapist works together with the client to help bring about lasting, positive change. If you have been thinking/reacting in Certain unhelpful ways for a long time, this is a learnt behaviour.

Having insight into your problem and the thought patterns perpetuating it are not enough. Once you become aware of a different, more helpful way of thinking/reacting, that new way has to be learned with patience and perseverance.

You will achieve your goals faster if you practise the new learning in between sessions in different ways - ranging from constructive, rational self-talk to actively facing your trigger situations until you grow into the new you.

•  WHAT IS HYPNOSIS?

Hypnosis is a natural state of physical relaxation together with mental clarity when the unconscious mind is accessible and can be guided to activate its resources and strengths.

It can also release and heal trauma and obstacles to create positive changes in a gentle yet powerful way.

•  WILL I BE IN CONTROL?

Yes. You cannot be hypnotised against your will and if you did not want to follow any of the suggestions given to you, you would just disregard them.

•  IS HYPNOSIS SAFE?

Yes, hypnosis is a natural state of relaxed body and focused mind. The medical profession is becoming more and more aware of the benefits of hypnosis and more frequently referring patients for hypnotherapy.

•  WILL HYPNOSIS BE PART OF EVERY SESSION?

Not necessarily. Hypnosis may be used for you to find out more about the roots of your problem, to find inner resources and healing imagery that is unique to you, to help you relax, to strengthen and deepen insights you have reached in the session, or to rehearse new ways of being.

You may be taught self-hypnosis so that you can make use of this powerful technique in your daily life.

•  HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED?

Two or three weekly sessions can be enough to develop new insights, boost your confidence or some clients attend regularly to work on their emotional goals one at a time.

Many clients feel they have learned enough to continue their self-development without the therapist after 6 - 12 sessions, but others prefer to make changes more slowly.
